‘The View’ Pulls Hosts Sunny Hostin & Ana Navarro Mid-Show After Positive COVID Tests

Two of ABC’s ‘The View’ co-hosts were abruptly pulled from set mid-show after testing positive for COVID.

Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro were asked to leave the stage Friday morning minutes before Vice President Kamala Harris’ scheduled appearance.

Initially, it appeared as if both the audience and the remaining hosts were confused as to what was going on.

“There seems to be something happening here that I’m not 100 percent aware of,” co-host Joy Behar said as the show segued into a new segment. “Can someone please apprise me of the situation?”

It seems that during a commercial break, producers clued Joy and co-host Sara Haines in on what was going on. Joy then told the audience what happened when the show returned from the commercial.

“Since this is going to be a major news story any minute now, what happened is that Sunny and Ana apparently both tested positive for COVID,” Joy said.

Joy assured fans that the women had received both doses of the vaccination, which officials say can reduce the risk of death or serious illness when coming into contact with the coronavirus.

“No matter how hard we try, these things happen, they probably have a breakthrough case and they’ll be OK I’m sure, because they are both vaccinated up the wazoo,” Joy added.

As a safety precaution, producers decided not to bring Kamala out and determined it would be safer for her to interview in a separate area in the studio.

‘The View’ did not immediately release a public statement.
