Balenciaga & Crocs Team Up To Release Stiletto Clogs! – The Shade Room
Balenciaga must’ve heard that y’all want to wear your Crocs absolutely everywhere because the two brands’ latest collaboration screams comfort but make it fashion. Balanciaga unveiled its Spring 2022 collection, which includes the creation of stiletto clogs.
Y’all know Balenciaga is known for its out of the box high fashion releases, and the “Clones” collection is no different. The clogs feature a very obvious mashup of Crocs’ traditional rubber slip on shoe with a slim Balenciaga heel.
Balenciaga has not revealed the price tag on these functional heels, but one can only assume it would be in the same price range of some of the shoes from its previous collaboration with Crocs. The two brands came together back in 2017 to release the platform Crocs.
Balenciaga’s Demma Gvasalia explained the original collab came about after she wore “the world’s comfiest shoes” for herself.
“I wore Crocs this summer to see how I felt about them and they are the world’s comfiest shoes,” Gvasalia told French Vogue in 2017. “I just wanted to give them a fashionable touch: a platform. At the end of the day, fashion is all about having fun.”
If you’re looking to get your hands on a pair of those babies, they’re going to run you about $850.
